You know the feeling. You are sitting in the cab, the auto-steer is engaged, and the screen says you are running perfectly on the A-B line with 0-inch deviation. Green lights all the way.

But then you turn your head.

Behind you, the planter is sliding sideways down the slope. It is "dog tracking." Even though your tractor is driving straight, gravity is pulling your heavy implement downhill.

This is the "Visual vs. Physical Disconnect." It creates inconsistent "Guess Rows" and means you end up driving over your own crop because the tire tracks don't match the plant lines.

💡 The "Ghost Acre" Effect:"It’s not just about ugly rows. It’s about the 'ghost acres' that kill your profit. You pay for seed and fertilizer on 1,000 acres, but because of implement drift and overlap, your yield map says you only harvested 950 acres of actual productivity. That 5% waste is pure profit lost to gravity."— Insight from the FJD "Stop the Swing" Campaign

For a long time, the only fix was expensive hydraulic hitch systems or constantly looking backward to manually steer uphill.

But there is a smarter, software-based way to handle this.
