We are thrilled to announce the official release of the FJD Trion S2 3D LiDAR Scanner firmware V1.2. Here are the new features and optimizations in this version:
New Features
Note: The Scan App must be upgraded to V3.1 or above to ensure proper connection.
1.Continue Scanning
Support the "Continue Scanning" feature for projects scanned with the S2 firmware V1.2 or later. You can click the three-dotted icon (…) in the top-right corner of the file list to continue scanning a previous project.
2. Support Modification of Default Wi-Fi Connection
Change the scanner's default Wi-Fi mode after connecting the scanner in the Scan app. You can go to "Firmware Settings"->"WiFi Mode Settings" to make a change. This prevents operation mistakes from physical button presses. After the change, the Wi-Fi module will reboot, and you'll need to reconnect your scanner in the app.
3.Anti-Flicker Settings
Adjust the anti-flicker frequency in the settings menu. The default is 50Hz, so you should change it to match your country's power system. This will reduce frequency interference from indoor lighting, giving you better colorization in your scans.
4.Control Point Collection via Power Button
Collect control points by using the scanner's power button. While scanning, you can double-press the power button. When the red and green lights flash alternately, a control point is successfully collected. Afterward, the scanner's light will return to a slow red flash.

How to Update Your Scanner
- Make sure your scanner has enough battery charge or is plugged into power. Do not power it off during the update.
- Turn on your scanner and connect to it.
- Go to Settings->Firmware Update. Then, follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the update.
- If the update is successful, you'll see "1.2.0" as the firmware version.
- If any issues occur, contact your regional sales manager for support.
